       Things to know about Antigua and Barbuda - 

their climate is one of the most temperate climates in the world ! 

Population is mainly black and Hispanic along with small percentage of Portuguese 

official language - English and the Antiguan Creole 

Food- Since their food is mainly imported from the British and American colonies their food is much like ours. They have places like KFC and subway plus more.

Music- their music is influenced by African culture with Calypso and Steedband. 

                                             WHAT TO DO THERE ? 

             Half moon bay -one of the most popular beaches in Antigua 

             Stingray city- a shallow pool near a tropical reef awaits hundreds of stingrays that love being feed by tourists and can also snorkel and swim with them

Dickenson bay - another beautiful beach with plenty of water sports to do like kayaking, jet skiing, and snorkeling along with nice restaurants along the beach to eat and drink at

Museum of Antigua and Barbuda - learn about the beautiful islands colonial history and how it gained its independence

                                                                                                                       Antigua and Barbuda      The culture of Antigua and Barbuda is majority Afro-Antiguans which makes up 87 percent of the population ! The islands also have small percentages of Portuguese, middle eastern, and other small mixed groups.                                                                ANGUILLA The island of Anguilla was colonized by the English in 1650. It was only colonized once by the British. The first people to settle on the island were the Arawak's around 2000 B.C. and when the British first came and colonized the island they had vanished. Anguilla gained it's independence in 1980 when it officially separated from Saint Kitts. During the 19th century the British associated Anguilla and Saint Kitts and Nevis with each other which gave Saint Kitts governmental control over Anguilla which they did not like. In 1967 the Anguillans rebelled against them and the British intervened and placed the island under complete British rule with the Anguilla Act of 1971.
